Love this room. The drawing on the wall reminds me of the cover from the Bette Davis SINGING album, “Miss Bette Davis.” (Tallulah Bankhead also had a similar cover for her album, “Give My Regards to Broadway.”) Neither of those broads could really sing. But, man, I love those albums. Bette Davis singing a song to the tune of “Here Comes the Bride”? About her daughter getting married? AMAZING.

I love this photo of my director Eric and I in the green room of UCB, shoving red jello into a douche bottle (special effect for a sketch: blood spraying out of a leg). This picture was taken about five minutes after Eric asked me, “Hey, Alison, how many douches come in a pack?” in front of a roomful of people exiting from the last show.

I love Gorilla Gorilla. Good people (including Ben and John, hanging in the background).

Rodarte for Target launches on December 20th.

Although I’m not a fan of how these look are stylized, I think each individual piece has stand alone appeal.

It feels like I’ve been waiting for an entire lifetime! I might have to roll up to Target at 9am.

Hopefully I can snag some Rodarte for Target in Central PA. I’ll just go ahead and be an asshole and say that most people living in Union County will not be rolling up at Target at 9am for it. Cannot wait.

Always glad to see the NYT rallying behind one of my biggest causes. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since I was about ten. It was my decision. I think my exact words were, “Mom, why do I have one eyebrow and most people have two? Can we do something?” Of course, I overtweezed a bit in middle school (you should have to show ID to buy tweezers, like spray paint — or be required to get a training certificate) and even resorted to using Rogaine on my forehead in 2005, in an effort to regrow my unibrow and start afresh. (I stopped after having some heart palpitations. Yeah. I said it: heart palpitations.)

I have spent years pondering the best way to achieve the perfect brows and not spend nine-gazillion dollars in upkeep. (Are you barfing yet?) Here are my suggestions, since the NYT never contacted me (and I’m sure you want to know my thoughts):

1. Grow those suckers out for at least six months. It will be painful. You will feel like Sasquatch. Stick with it.
2. Go to Anastasia Brow Studio and have them shape brows for your face. A waxing sesh is about $45. I once had a waxing artist who had just done J.Lo. I have never had any issues with ABS…except for a woman who over-trimmed my right eyebrow THE WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING.
3. Rather than pay $45 a month in upkeep, go to a threading salon to keep the nice shape. Usually $8-10, not including tip.
